In the annual general meeting of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani the chairman of RIL revealed the details of  much awaited jio. Reliance jio will be launching on 5 September 2016.

Reliance jio will also be offering Welcome offer to all new customers which would give them free data, calls, and sms until 31st December 2016. From next year the normal plans will be applicable.

Jio Launch

Reliance jio will be launching commercially on 5 September 2016. That means from 5th september anyone with any phone can visit their nearest DX Mini or Reliance Digital store and get their free sim card.

All new customers will also be getting a Jio Welcome Offer to try jio’s network and experience the Digital Life. All customers get absolutely free data, calls and sms which they can use upto their heart’s content until 31 December 2016.

Reliance jio will strive to make their network the cheapest in the world. Jio is India’s first all IP network. Reliance jio’s network spans 18,000 cities and 2 Lakh villagers. Reliance jio is true LTE with support for Voice over LTE (VOLTE). Reliance jio is future proof with ready infrastructure for 5G, 6G and beyond.

LYF Device starting at Rs 2,999

With the advent of cheap 4G devices in the market jio has gone to further lengths to cap the budget smartphone market. Jio’s sister company LYF mobiles will be offering its 4G smartphones starting at just Rs 2,999. In the current smartphone market nearly 70% of all smartphones are 4G. Other feature rich LYF devices will be available at Rs 3,999, Rs 4,999 and Rs 5,999 respectively. Wireless mifi device JioFi will also be available at Rs 1,999 for those customers which do not have 4G enabled phone. JioFi is your personal router solution for 2G/3G devices.

Complimentary Jio Apps worth Rs 15,000

Jio offers a suite of application which offers the best of many categories like TV, Movies, Money, News. Jio has launched many apps like Jio TV (previously called Jio Play) from which you can watch 300+ live tv channels with 40 HD channels. Jio movies has 6000 movies. Jio Music, Jio magazines and jio news are other apps provided under this suite.

Reliance Jio is offering free access to jio apps until 31st december to all customers.

After 31st december all jio customers will get free access to all apps with their data plans.

Instant aadhaar based activation’s

Due to the overwhelming response which jio got during its trial period jio has changed its activation process. Rather than the conventional paper based process jio will now be 100% digital using Aadhar based E-KYC process.

The aadhar based E-KYC process starts from 1st sept in Mumbai, and Delhi. Other cities will be covered under the new digital process in the upcoming weeks.

Over the next 4-6 weeks jio will have the capacity to acquire a million customer a day.

Free Voice Calls

Reliance Jio believes that Customers should pay for only 1 service and are customer first service. To match with the first world jio has made all calls to any network absolutely free of charge.

Reliance jio customers also believes in one India, and hence there are no roaming charges within India.

Jio Simple Tariff Plans

As there are no charges for voice calls there are only 10 Data plans and most of them come with free 4G data at night.

Reliance jio has passed on the advancement of technology to all customers. The current service providers charge Rs 250/Gb on average. Jio has cut down the rate 5 times to Rs 50/GB.

Jio broadband is Fibre to Home broadband connection with speeds upto       1 Gbps. The Fiber rollout is in progress and testing will be initiated in the upcoming months.

Reliance jio will also be focusing on enterprise solutions which will help small, medium and large enterprises. Reliance jio is partnering with leading global digital players to benefit the enterprise customers.

Reliance jio also has a Rs 5,000 crore capital which they will fund on Startups and ecommerce.
